ESL One Genting 2018: schedule and format

ESL have just announced the schedule of the upcoming minor ESL One Genting 2018. As a reminder, NAVI.GG.BET participates in this event. The Born to Win earned the slot at the tournament by winning regional qualifiers.

The tournament will take place on 23-28 January at Arena of Stars concert hall, located in Genting Highlands hill resort. The prize pool will be $400.000. Four teams that perform best at the event will get the share in 400 qualifying points necessary to get a direct invite to The International 2018. There will be 16 participants in the competition.

The group stage of the tournament will last 3 days from 23 till 25 January. All the teams will be divided in 2 groups. Eight teams of each group will battle against each other in double elimination brackets. The first matches will be held in best of 1, and all other will be best of 3. The organizers promises to reveal more details on groups in the near future.

The playoff will also last 3 days from 26 till 28 January. Six best teams of the groups will advance to the single elimination brackets. The teams which took first places in their groups will get straight to the semifinal stage. The format of the playoff matches is best of 3, except for the grand final to be played in best of 5.

As a reminder, NAVI.GG.BET is currently having a bootcamp in Kyiv and is practicing in order to succeed at their first minor in 2018. We hope that they will demonstrate outstanding performance in Malaysia! #gonavi
