Esports World Cup starts next week!

July 3 marks the start of the Esports World Cup tournament series in Saudi Arabia! This event will be one of the biggest in esports in recent memory, with a record $60,000,000 prize pool up for grabs during the competition.

The organizers have also introduced a program for the cybersports organizations that will be participating in the series, in addition to the large amount of prize money that the players will be competing for. The top sixteen clubs will share a $20,000,000 prize pool.

The tournaments in Riyadh will be held in 19 disciplines, among which NAVI will be represented in at least six: CS2, Apex Legends, PUBG, Teamfight Tactics, Call of Duty: Warzone, and Tekken.

Call of Duty: Warzone

The Esports World Cup will see the debut of our new Call of Duty: Warzone roster. The tournament will take place from the third to the sixth of July, with teams competing for a prize pool of $1,000,000.

The competition will be held in three stages, where the teams will be seeded in the first stage, and the strongest team will be determined in the second and third stages.

CS2

Next to represent NAVI will be the reigning Major Champions. The Esports World Cup will be the first tournament after the summer break for the CS2 squad where they will compete for $1,000,000. The competition will take place from the 17th to the 21st of July.

To begin, teams will play a best-of-3 opening match, and based on the results of that match, will advance directly to the playoffs or play-in stage. Only 8 teams will make it to the decisive stage, where the winner will be determined in a single elimination format.

Apex Legends

The third addition to the server will be our revamped Apex Legends roster, which will compete for a record-breaking $2,000,000 prize pool from July 31st through August 4th.

After the group stage, the top 9 teams will advance to the tournament finals, while the remaining participants will fight for survival in Last Chance. The Grand Final will be held according to the Match Point system: the first team to score 60 points and then finish top-1 on one of the maps will become the tournament champion.

Teamfight Tactics

NAVI Esports Club recently announced the roster for Teamfight Tactics, which will also participate in the EWC. The competition will take place from the 8th to the 11th of August, with a prize pool of $550,000.

Our team will be placed in one of the four quartets in the double-elimination format, from which only two teams will qualify for the playoffs. The playoffs will be held in the single elimination format, with the best-of-5 grand finals.

StarCraft II

Piotr “Spirit” Walukiewicz joined the club late last year and will compete in the qualifiers to represent NAVI at the Esports World Cup. In order to qualify for the main stage of the championship, the Pole will need to qualify through the Open and Closed Qualifying stages from July Fourth through July Seventh.

We hope to see Piotr in the main stage, which will take place from August fourteenth to eighteenth. The prize pool for the tournament will be $1,000,000.

PUBG

Our PUBG team has been doing well in recent tournaments and has earned an invitation to the EWC. The guys will be playing at the Esports World Cup from August 21-25, where the best teams in the world will compete for a prize pool of $2,000,000.

The tournament will take place in two stages, with the first stage reducing the number of teams to 16 from the original 24. The teams will then compete in a format similar to Apex Legends: the first team to score seventy points and win the map will be the EWC champion.

Tekken 8

Kkokkoma and AK will be the final representatives of our club at the Esports World Cup in the Tekken 8 discipline. The guys will start the tournament on August 22nd and the prize pool in their discipline will be $1 000 000.

The competition will be held in three stages: twice, the guys must place at least second in double-elimination quartets to qualify for the decisive stage, which will be held in a single-elimination format.
