CS2 / News / 26 April 2018 — 21:00

NAVI.GG.BET tie the series with G2, winning the first map, but dropping de_cbble.

ua NAVI.GG.BET faced off against fr G2 in a dual Bo1 at Esl Pro League S7 EU. The result of this matchup was a 1:1, with the first map going to ua NAVI, while the second was taken by the opponent.

 Game 1 - Natus Vincere [1:0] G2

The first game of the series started off with a pistols victory for uaNAVI, followed by a victory of fr G2. That was their only round for a while, though, as ua NAVI went on a 3-round streak, seriously damaging the enemy economy. The opponents did not manage to do a lot before we hit our 8 points. Despite a few rounds going the way of the opponent, the first half was taken by ua NAVI, albeit with not that big of an advantage - 9:6.

The second half did not start too well, for us, though, as fr G2 managed to take 3 in a row to tie the score 9:9. ua NAVI managed to get their first point only during the 6th round. However, it only took us a couple of rounds to make it back into the game, destroying the economy of fr G2. Since then, the teams traded rounds, but this was more beneficial for us, as we were the first ones to take the match point - 15:12. Even though fr G2 put up quite a resistance, ua NAVI claimed the map 1 16:13.

Game 2 - Natus Vincere [1:1] G2

The second game did not start off as well as the first one. This time around, fr G2 was in the lead, as ua NAVI only managed to get 2 round out of 10, falling back rather severely. Only towards the end of the half, we managed to take a few rounds thanks to the economic boost, getting a few rounds in a row, finishing the half 5:10 - ua NAVI still had a long way to go.

The second half started off with a 3-round streak by ua NAVI, allowing us to close the gap and establish a solid economy. That series, though, was interrupted by a 3-round run fo fr G2, and the subsequent rounds featured a lot of trades. However, fr G2 played off of their rather significant advantage, getting to match point first, and the map as well - 16: 9. GGWP!
