The International 2018 Open Qualifiers: Day 1 Recap

Dota 2 / News / 15 June 2018 — 07:52

We're through with the first leg of the qualifier!

We have started off our journey in The International 2018 Open Qualifiers in a flawless fashion, rounding out Day 1 without a single loss. The battle will be resuming today, on June 15. In this article, we will be looking at the intermediate results of the qualifier.

As expected, the games against our opening opponents turned out to be pretty quick – we needed only an hour of play to get past the first two bo1 matches, because of how big the skill difference between the teams was.

With these quick two wins, our boys had to spend the entire evening waiting for the names of their remaining opponents. We then went on to outplay ru SnakeS in 1/128 and grabbed a convincing victory against  ru АсТ in 1/64.

To finish off the day, we won two more games to become one step closer towards our goal. An interesting match transpired in 1/16, where ua Natus Vincere went up against ua Mag~ and ua Funn1k's lineup ru MEGA-LADA.

The second half of qualification matches will be starting today at approximately 15:00 CEST. It promises to bring even more exciting action since the list of participating teams got narrowed down significantly after yesterday's games.

Alongside Born to Win, we'll be seeing ru Team Empire, ru Team Spiritru Double Dimension and some other teams with experienced players aboard. Our next opponent is going to be ru ESPADA, so tune in to support our boys! #gonavi
