Tournaments coming up in the near future

Here's a look at the tournament schedule of our CS:GO team for the next few months. The boys will participate in a total of five events; let's talk about each of them separately.

ESL One Cologne 2018

The first one will be ESL One Cologne 2018, one of the most popular CS:GO tournaments with a long and exciting history. It will be the fifth time Cologne will be hosting a CS:GO tournament of this scope. It had a major status three times, ESL 2014 Cologne being the first time ua Natus Vincere advanced out of the group of a major, winning against dk Copenhagen Wolves in the deciding game.

As usual, Cologne will welcome the world's best teams: eu FaZe Clan, dk Astralis, ua NAVI, eu mousesports, us Team Liquid and others. A total of 16 contenders will lock horns over a $ 300,000 prize pool. The tournament is set to take place on July 3-8, with a final schedule yet to be revealed.

ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018

Next, our boys will head to Atlanta for ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier 2018, set for July 21-29. The tournament will bring together top 8 best CS:GO teams who will be fighting for the $ 1,000,000 prize pool: ua NAVI, dk Astralis, eu FaZe Clan, br MIBR, se fnatic, us Team Liquid, us Cloud9 and eu mousesports.

ELEAGUE CS:GO Premier will be having a different format compared to those of its previous iterations: the group stage will use a GSL system with bo3 matches; two best teams from each group will advance into the playoffs, which will use a single elimination, bo3 bracket with a bo5 grand final.

DreamHack Masters Stockholm 2018

After these two events, there will be a short break for the teams to have their well-deserved rest. The battles will resume on August 29 through September 2 at DreamHack Masters Stockholm. It will be staged by Ericsson-Globe Arena with a capacity of 16,000. The event will bring together 16 teams from all around the world and have $ 250,000 up for grabs.

Like ESL One Cologne 2018, DreamHack Masters Stockholm is featured in Intel Grand Slam, a separate $ 1,000,000 prize which will be awarded to the team winning four events hosted by ESL and DreamHack Masters. It is by no means an easy task – the teams have only 10 attempts after the first win is secured.

The Stockholm LAN has great weight – if eu FaZe Clan lose in Cologne, this will be their last chance to win Intel Grand Slam. Otherwise, dk Astralis, who now have 2 wins and 6 attempts to go, will step forward as favorites or win it altogether if they also win ESL One Cologne 2018.

FACEIT Major 2018

Next on the list is the second and last 2018's major, FACEIT Major 2018. Unlike the Boston major, NAVI will enter it as "Legends", which means we'll start right from the main event, which is set for September 20-23.

According to the format changes introduced in early 2018, it will feature 24 participating teams, including qualified teams, who receive stickers. Its prize pool remains unchanged, $ 1,000,000. FACEIT Major 2018 is sure to become one of the most significant tournaments of the second half of the year.

ESL One New York 2018

3 days after that, the team will travel to the United States for the third ESL One iteration. Ever since ESL One New York 2016, this series evokes pleasant memories for Born to Win, as it was the first $ 250,000 tournament we won.

ESL One NY will have its participants divided into 2 groups of 4 teams each. The group stage will use a GSL system with bo3 matches, with four best teams securing the berth in the playoffs. The playoffs will feature a single elimination bracket with bo3 games and a bo5 final. It will also count towards the Intel Grand Slam. The tournament will take place on September 26-30 in Brooklyn's Barclays Center, where 8 teams will clash over $250,000.
