ESL One Cologne 2018: s1mple is the MVP

s1mple takes another MVP!

In the finals,  NAVI.GG.BET defeated  BIG (3:1) and won the ESL One Cologne 2018 title! Stable performance of s1mple did not remain without attention, and according to HLTV.org he was recognized as the MVP of the tournament. Congratulations to Sasha!

This award was the fifth for s1mple in 2018. The previous four medals were received at StarSeries S4, DreamHack Masters Marseille, StarSeries S5 and CS:GO Asia Championships 2018. And the first two of them - in a situation when NAVI did not win the tournament. This achievement of Sasha became a landmark, because, before this, no player could win even one MVP title without his team winning the tournament.

As for the total number of MVP-awards for Sasha, after ESL One 2018 he owns seven of them. Aside from those already mentioned, he claimed the award at DreamHack Winter 2017 and ESL One NY 2016.

And here are some stats of  s1mple on ESL One Cologne 2018: 404-262, + 142 K-D; 1.37 rating; 0.90 KPR and 87.0 ADR. In addition, Sasha became the player with the most frags (404), took first place by the number of rounds with one and more kills (56.1%), ahead of all in terms of KPR (0.90) and became the best open fragger on the map (71).
