PGI 2018 Day 1 Recap

PUBG / News / 26 July 2018 — 08:12

The games will resume on July 26, 18:00 CEST

Day 1 of PUBG Global Invitational 2018 will be remembered for an incredible opening ceremony and close-fought battles among the world's best teams. Let's take a look at the results of ru NAVI.GG.BET heading into the second day of the tournament.

The tournament kicked off with four third-perspective games on Erangel. Opening games turned out a serious test for us, as the teams from the Western division are known to be more used to playing FPP.

DAY 1 RESULTS:
Game # Result
1 13 place (6 kills)
2 4 place (5 kills)
3 10 place (2 kills)
4 18 place (1 kill)

Unsurprisingly, Day 1 ended with mostly Eastern teams topping the standings. Especially prominent were the performances of cn Oh My God, kr Gen.G Black and kr Gen.G Gold. Such teams as eu Team Liquid, us Ghost Gaming and eu Pittsburgh Knights also put in some confident plays and were among the very few representatives of the West division who were able to reach the top of the table.

ru NAVI, unfortunately, had quite a tough first day, finishing outside the top 10 in three games and securing the 11th place in the overall standings.

The games will resume on July 26, 18:00 CEST, determining the way the prize pool of 1,000,000 $ will be distributed.
