The International 2018 sets a new prize pool record! The total prize money figure already exceeds $ 24,800,000, steadily approaching the 25 million mark.

The previous record set a year ago at The International 2017 was $ 24,787,916, with $ 100,000 allocated to the All Stars match.

To celebrate this achievement, Valve granted each Battle Pass owner 10 levels. The prize pool started at the $ 1,600,000 mark and the rest was earned with Battle Pass sales, 25% of which went directly to the prize pool.

The main event will be taking place from August 20-25. It will be staged by the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Canada. A total of 16 teams that qualified via the group stage will take part in it.
