Crystallize`s predictions: TI8 Playoffs Day 4

Dota 2 / News / 23 August 2018 — 15:10

Who do you think will win?

The International 2018 has hit its apex, and we're unlikely to see any one-sided games from this point on. The weaker teams have already left the stage and are watching the games from the audience, while the teams that are still in the race for the Aegis of the Immortal are ready to fight with renewed zeal and dedication. We caught up with our  ua Vladislav "Crystallize" Krystanek to find out his predictions for today's duels.

us Optic Gaming [0:2] ru Virtus.pro

Despite falling into the lower bracket, ru Virtus.pro are entering this encounter as favorites. Vladislav thinks us OpTic Gaming are the most comfortable opponents for the Russian team. The head-to-head record is highly favoring VP, as the Americans lost all the encounters this season. Although The International is known for its miracles and huge upsets, Crystallize does not think we'll be surprised by the outcome of this match.

us VGJ. Storm [2:1] eu Team Secret

The outcome of the second series of the day is much harder to predict. ee Team Secret and us VGJ.Storm are pretty much equal in terms of skill, which means the game will be in many ways decided during the drafting phase. Our carry notes that the American team has been doing a better job with drafts so far, as they were choosing consistent heroes that are relevant in a current meta.

us Evil Geniuses [2:1] ru Virtus.pro

The elimination match will see us EG take on the winner of the Virtus.pro vs OpTic Gaming matchup, but Crystallize made his predictions based on the assumption that VP will win. He considers both teams to be highly skillful and thinks the outcome of the game will fully depend on the picks. EG have been looking strong draft-wise so far, and this can give them a big edge over VP.
