The first-round games were season openers for both teams and saw them suffer defeat, as NAVI fell to  Ghost Gaming in the overtime (17:19 - Dust2), and  NRG lost to NiP ( 13:16 - Train).

The last time Natus Vincere and NRG met was in the finals of StarSeries S5, where we won 16:8 (Overpass, 16: 7 - Mirage). We hope an upcoming duel will be a good chance to demonstrate what we are capable of and proceed to the lower bracket finals. #gonavi
