Stockholm International Esports Award celebrates the best teams and players from a variety of games.  NAVI.GG.BET CS:GO team and Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev are among the contenders. The !

This event is being held for the first time, and it is going to take place in Stockholm, Sweden. Its goal is to highlight the brightest stars on the esports scene. As mentioned before,  NAVI.CS:GO roster made it to the list of nominees for the Best Esports Team of the Year, while s1mple is a contender for the Esports Player of the Year. Let's recall some of the brightest moments of the year so far.

The first half of 2018, and the conclusion of 2017, were truly memorable for the entire team. As we ended 2017 with a blast, taking DreamHack Open Winter 2017 grand prize, with a 2:0 victory over mouz, it seemed like it would only go uphill from there. 2018, in its turn, didn't start too well for us, as we placed 3rd-4th at ELEAGUE Boston Major. All the way till May, we were cutting it incredibly close to the trophies, stopping at the second place twice, and thrice - on the 3rd. 

The summer, however, went very well for the guys, as we've claimed 3 trophies in a little more than a month - StarSeries & i-League CS:GO Season 5, CS:GO Asia Championships 2018 and ESL One: Cologne 2018. All of those were exciting victories, which we were proud to share with you.

When it comes to s1mple, there were lots said about him already. Always there for the team, stepping up to most incredible challenges, pulling off some of the best plays. His consistency and individual skill are something he is truly famous, and feared, for. Over the course of this half of the year, he has earned 5 MVP awards, and is not planning to stop anytime soon; he was the first player to receive the MVP award despite not taking the trophy of the championship.
