MagicaL — Natus Vincere's new midlaner!

The name of Idan Vardanian, ua NAVI.GG.BET's new midlaner, is not so well-known among the fans. We'll try to change that today by telling you more about the player and what heroes he prefers in-game. ua MagicaL will replace ua Danil "Dendi" Ishutin, in mid.

Idan is currently only 19 years old; players of this age often become the rising stars in the pro scene. MagicaL also has some experience of competitive play – according to Dotabuff.com, his first semi-professional match was back in 2014, when he performed for VASAJANAMID in Hardway League Season 1. Half a year later, he was spotted playing for such famous tags as Hellraisers and Kompas Gaming.

Most picked heroes

2016-2017 were MagicaL's most productive years so far, as he was part of Yellow Submarine, Comanche and multiple mix-teams. He gained the greatest recognition while playing for ru 20 min afk les formed by Natus Vincere's ru Akbar "SoNNeikO" Butaev. The team did well this summer, and it was Akbar who noticed MagicaL's talent. The last tag he performed for was ru Vega Squadron – he played two games there, but then transferred to the ranks of Born to Win.

In terms of gameplay, we would first like to note Idan's signature Templar Assassin. This hero appears not only in his official games (23 times) but also pubs (929 times), the winrate being approximately the same in both modes: 65.22% and 62.11%, respectively.

However, looking at pro games only doesn't make much sense as the player still has very limited competitive experience. His second most picked hero in pubs is Tinker (672 games, 57.59% winrate) and the third is Storm Spirit (568 games, 57.22% winrate). Three other characters with more than 300 games played are Invoker, Outworld Devourer and Shadow Fiend — the player sure has a wide pool of mid heroes.

Soloranking position

Idan has been mainly going for core heroes in pubs recently, playing 86% of games as a midlaner, 9% as a carry and 5% as a hardlaner. However, he also has experience playing supports with a solid number of games as Rubick and Earth Spirit.

Perhaps most importantly, Idan is occupying the 56th position in solo ranking, which is a very decent result.

Summarizing, our new midlaner is, no doubt, a strong individual player who is doing his best to improve his mid plays in pubs. MagicaL's greatest challenge, however, lies ahead – he'll have to demonstrate what he is capable of. We can't wait for the new season to begin! #gonavi
