FACEIT Major 2018: NAVI.GG.BET is the runner-up

That's the end of the second major in 2018 - FACEIT Major, and NAVI.GG.BET finishes performance at an honorable second place.

The thorny path of "yellow-black" to the grand finals began from the second stage of the competition - "New Legends". The first round was not the best: NAVI met with Astralis and lost in a bitter struggle (14:16 - Inferno). Further, the draw was not getting any more favorable to Born to Win and in the second round brought our guys together with FaZe Clan.

For a long time the series took place under the lead of the European team. However, players of Natus Vincere managed to pull themselves together after the defeat in the second pistol and broke the course of the fight, winning the force buy. This way, NAVI came back into the game after the score was 5:11, and subsequently gave the opponent only one point. The final result is 16:12 in favor of NAVI.

In the next two rounds, rivals of the Born to Win became the Swedish teams. Both fights have gone quite well for our guys. The game with NiP happened on Train and ended with a victory at 16:6. The battleground with fnatic became Mirage, and after winning with a minimal advantage in defense (8:7) our team did not leave a chance to the opponent in the attack, giving only 2 rounds. As a result, the group stage of the championship ended with 3-1 stat for NAVI and guaranteed themselves the status of "Legends" until the next major in Katowice.

In the quarterfinals, Born to Win fought against BIG. Most recently, the teams met in the grand final of ESL One Cologne 2018, and then the Germans only won one map in Bo5 - Dust 2. Fortunately, at this tournament we witnessed a completely different story, since NAVI worked quite well on their game on Dust2 and were completely ready for the opponent's pick. This time, BIG had no chance on this map (16:2) and on Nuke (16:6) - our guys confidently brought the series to victory with a score of 2:0. The battle for the finals spot had Natus Vincerecompete with the Brazilian team MIBR. In this fight, our guys confidently took rivals down on Overpass (16:10) and Dust2 (16:5).

Finally, the home stretch! The decisive battle Natus Vincere - Astralis.  NAVI demonstrated a well-coordinated team game, but they failed to cope with the last rival. We congratulate the guys on a worthy performance and wish them good luck in the upcoming tournaments.
