ESL One New York: the end of the run
NAVI leave the event
NAVI.GG.BET fought with Gambit in a Bo3 at ESL One New York in the match for exit to the playoffs. The encounter was very hard; in the end, NAVI.GG.BET didn't manage to make it into the third map - 0:2.
Nuke - Natus Vincere [11:16] Gambit
The first game against Gambit was at Nuke. The map started off rather well, as NAVI claimed the initial 3 right away, securing a significant advantage. However, the first gun round went the way of the opponent, yet a reset followed right back, destroying the CT economy. Another 3 rounds for NAVI put us significantly far ahead. After that the game was far less certain - [:kz] Gambit claimed 3 in a row, covering some of the disadvantage they were facing. All the was till the end of the half, NAVI and Gambit traded rounds - we still secure the half 9:6.
The second half, though, wasn't as favorable for us. Gambit took the pistols, and moved forard confidently. We had to force a couple of times before we came close to turning the streak our way - despite an established control over the map, Gambit failed to plant on time, and NAVI secure one round. The teams traded rounds, but Gambit re-established themselves on the map. Despite the best attempts, NAVI could do little against the fast approach of Gambit - we drop the first map 11:16.

Inferno - Natus Vincere [0:2] Gambit
The second game had NAVI take the pistols, while Gambit took the force. The see-saw continued, as NAVI managed to take a very hard round, equalizing the score 2:2. Despite winning the next round, we lost all our devices. Neither team was able to convincingly take an advatgae - first, NAVI took 3-round streak, and Gambit followed the suit with the very same. From that point onwards, though, NAVI established a solid lead, making it to 8 points and securing the half at least. However, that was it for us in the half, as the rest of the rounds went the way of the opponet - we win the half with a minimal advantage - 8:7.
The second half allowed NAVI to increase the round difference thanks to the first pistol round. We broke into the double digits rather fast, climbing all the way to 11. Gambit started to catch up, following the success during the gun round. The CT even broke ahead, but a round taken by NAVI dealt a serious blow to the Gambit economy. They managed to bounce back, though, and claim the 12 point - temporary 12:12 tie. The game became very unstable, as each round was worth its weight in gold.
14th point hit the board for Gambit, as we were 2 steps away from falling to them. However, NAVI gathered themselves together when it mattered - 14:13, as we stay in the game. The next round had NAVI tie the game yet again - 14:14, and the next round would be the match point. Gambit were the ones to make it there, as the game heated up to the max. Gambit were the ones to carry over the initiative - we drop the game and the series, falling out of ESL One New York.
