NAVI players - on DreamLeague S10 LAN
Exclusive comments from Chuvash, Blizzy, and MagicaL!
Mere hours are left until the debut of NAVI.GG.BET on the DreamLeague Season 10 minor. Before the start of the match, we talked with Evgenii “Chuvash” Makarov, Evgenii “Blizzy” Ri and Idan “MagicaL” Vardanian about the impressions of Stockholm, expectations from the first LAN-finals of the season and the level of opponents at the tournament.
- - For you, this is the first trip to Sweden for the DreamLeague tournament series. Can you share your impressions of the organization of the event?
“For me, this is the first major LAN championship, pretty much, so I don’t think I am competent enough to evaluate it. Everything is cool, everything is new. Fun and games (smiles). Great city, great friendly people. The transfer and the flight were absolutely smooth”.
“The flight was easy, a two-hour flight for me is just great because I usually fly 13-14 hours. As for the organization, I can say that everything is fine. On the first day, we were given training rooms, although usually they are allocated on the second day, and initially players don't even know what to do. Sweden is very beautiful, the team and I walked around the city center, we liked it”.
“Talking about he flight and transfer, everything went smoothly, the organizers prepared everything well. We did not have to wait for anything, our hotel is good, everything works very well. But we were not in the venue and on the stage itself”.
- - The championship is famous for its unusual activities. Do you expect any fun non-esports events from the tournament?
“Of course, I am looking forward to that! There must be something interesting”.
"To be honest, I do not know what the organizers are preparing, but by and large, we are ready and waiting for whatever comes".
“In our free time - it’s fun, I'm all for it!”
- - This will be the first LAN-tournament outside the CIS region for you guys. Do you feel some anxiety, excitement?
"In fact, the anxiety is really there".
"So far, I am absolutely calm when it comes to the upcoming games".
- - This time the team will not have to go on stage in front of a large number of spectators, since the tournament is closed. Do you think this is a positive thing?
"In my opinion, for those who play on the LAN finals for the first time - yes rather than not".
“If we talk specifically about my feelings, then for me it does not play a big role. Be it in front of the crowd or not - either is okay for me".
“Yes, in my opinion, this is 100% good for players without a rich tournament experience. Obviously, this experience is also needed, one should gradually get used to it, but at the moment it’s better. ”
- - A few words about the rivals. Which of the participants definitely should not be underestimated in this championship?
“It seems to me that strong teams are compLexity Gaming, RNG and, maybe, Tigers. We aren't that scared of others, pretty much".
“I think that here the teams are more or less equal. If there's a team I would like to single out, then it would be RNG. They have a good roster".
“The clear favorite is the Chinese team RNG, they definitely cannot be underestimated, but the rest opponents are not as scary.”
- - Your first opponent will be Vega Squadron. What do you expect from the match against this team?
“We have played them during practice and official matches alike. We were generally winning, so I think we should win now!”
“I'm looking forward to a good game and a victory, of course!”
- – Any shout outs to the fans?
"I think I have no fans (laughs)".
“Thanks to all the fans for the support and even for the criticism!”
“Thanks to all who support us! Support us, even if failures happen, it is important for us”.
