BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018: defeat in the grand-finals
NAVI.GG.BET lose to Astralis
NAVI.GG.BET fought against Astralis in a Bo3 series in the grand finals of BLAST Pro Series Lisbon 2018. Despite a promising start, NAVI didn't manage to consolidate the success and take the second place with a score of 1:2.
Overpass - Natus Vincere [16:7] Astralis
The first game started off with a clutch right away - Edward was left in a 1v4 and a planted bomb, he made the best effort to defend, taking down 2, but it wasn't enough. Zeus and s1mple clutched the second round 2v3, getting the first point on board. The Danes had to go for an eco - we lost quite a lot of HP, but the round was ours. A couple more points our way gave us an even larger advantage - 5:1. Astralis were not having a good economy game, and NAVI kept taking round after round with minimal casualties. Eventually, we hit 8 points, at least securing the half.
After that, NAVI's grasp on the game somewhat weakened. Astralis took 2 rounds in a row, but the 13th round saw Edward pull off a 1v1 clutch, having 1 HP left. Astralis were unable to set us back, so they had almost no money to work with in the final round of the half. The half closed at 11:4, as NAVI seized a comfortable lead.
The pistol round was taken by NAVI, as we allowed Astralis to take the A site, but denied the possibility to plant. The gun round went the way of Astralis, as NAVI settled on B while Astralis shifted towards A. The opponent started getting the rounds one after another, and NAVI started getting into some troublesome economic waters. Zeus dropped an AWP for s1mple, which proved to be fruitful - 14:6, but the follow-up wasn't there. Another clutch round from NAVI saw electroNic + s1mple left to retake, and they did it beautifully - 15:7. We had 8 match points to work with, but only needed 1 - NAVI take Overpass 16:7.

Cache - Natus Vincere [9:16] Astralis
The second half started with a very dominant pistol round, as flamie and s1mple destroyed Astralis. The third round was an eco from Astralis, but the trades were still a pure show of skill - 3:0. The first buy round had Astralis play with 2 AWP's, so flamie chose to save his AK. s1mple was left in a 1v2, and despite his best efforts, Astralis took the round - 3:2, and eventually tied the game. NAVI denied Astralis the possibility to break ahead just yet, as the teams traded rounds - 5:5. At this point, Astralis seemed to get their tactical ideas in order, as NAVI lost the grip on the game, while the opponent gained an increasing advantage. The half ended at 5:10.
The second half had NAVI take the first 3 rounds. Astralis managed to turn the game over once again with the first gun round, and their 5-point streak brought them straight to the first match point. We didn't want to let the opponents take the game just yet, so NAVI went for a double AWP setup which proved to be fruitful - 9:15. Yet the gap was too large to be covered, as Astralis managed to find their picks, and take the series to the third map - 9:16.

Dust2 - Natus Vincere [4:16] Astralis
The final game unraveled on Dust2. The pistol round was taken by Astralis pretty fast. The third round had NAVI execute towards A, and we planted with 500 HP for the team. In the next round, s1mple went for a knife on dupreeh towards the A site, and the game tied with 2:2. The teams traded rounds again, and defending the bomb on B proved to be too tough for NAVI - 3:3.
Astralis gained an advantage, with s1mple trying to contest it during the 8th round with a 3k in response to Magisk 4k. Astralis went for the double AWP setup, and it proved to be successful - 3:7. NAVI kept losing rounds, sometimes coming close, but not quite cutting it. The half ended with a rather big gap between the teams - 3:12.
The second half started off with a defuse coming in from NAVI. Unfortunately, we didn't capitalize on that, and Astralis hit right back with a force buy. They won it and advanced further into the half, gaining an even larger lead. Till the end of the half, NAVI didn't score a single point, and we dropped the map, losing the series 1:2.
