EPICENTER Major 2019: tiebreakers

A battle for the first place!

 NAVI.GG.BET will have to play tiebreakers within the EPICENTER Major 2019 qualification. Three teams finished their performance with the same score 6 : 1.

“Yellow-black” will face against  Virtus.pro and  Gambit Esports for the first place of the standings and consequently for the slot in the Major. All games will take place in a circular system: if none of the participants will have two wins after the first round of tiebreakers, then all the teams will again play against each other.

First, Natus Vincere players will meet with Virtus.pro, and then they will play against  Gambit Esports. Recall that within the group stage earlier, the “yellow-blacks” beat the “bears”, but lost to the “gambits”.

The early game of the meeting as a whole can be considered equal. Almost all the core heroes of the two teams were on a par with each other, no one was particularly ahead of everyone.

After a careful midgame, at the 30 minutes mark the teams collided near Roshan. Thanks to the magnificent initiation, our guys without any problems came out victorious from the battle, killing four heroes and Roshan. The advantage of  NAVI at this point was a significant amount — 9k gold.

“Yellow-black” on the 35th minute, conduct an excellent fight on the middle lane, killing all the heroes of Virtus.pro. After that, the enemy recognizes it's defeat — 1: 0 in favor of Natus Vincere!

The early game of the meeting was completely under the control of the enemy team, who won all the lanes and excellently pushed forward. By the 17th minute, the advantage of Gambit Esports was surpassing the 11k gold mark and Templar Assassin had Aegis in her inventory.

By the 24th minute, our team loses two sides, after which the enemy goes to attack the last remaining side. “Yellow-black” managed to defend against  Gambit Esports, but the advantage of the opponent at this point was already 26k gold.

The meeting ended in a couple of minutes after several deaths of Natus Vincere heroes. 0 : 1 — victory goes to  Gambit Esports.
