Saves interview
After the victory of our team at ESL Premiership Summer 2019, we talked to Szymon "Saves" Kamieniak: he shared his emotions from the tournament, told about himself, and also summed up the results of Rainbow Six Siege events.

I am a calm and kind person. I do not like conflicts and treat everyone with respect.

I felt awesome! Before, I could only follow such an amazing organization, and now I am a part of it.

My nickname doesn't really have a story. I just thought it sounded cool and easy to remember.

I decided to become a professional player about a year and a half after I started playing Siege. I saw what I am capable of, and began to work hard to achieve the goal.

I would do this at the end of my esports career.

My family is very understanding, and they always rejoiced and wished me all the best.

Siege is a game where you have to work hard to be a good player. It is not only a matter of shooting accuracy, as in CS: GO. In Siege, you need to think through a lot of things that can still go wrong - which is why I like this game so much.

I did not consider other options until Rainbow Six Siege.

I do not follow other cyber disciplines, but sometimes I watch League of Legends, that's all. My favorite teams in LoL are probably TSM and G2 Esports at the moment.

Currently the Polish pro Siege scene does not look very good, before it was very large, I would even say, one of the biggest. Now in Poland there are not too many teams competing internationally.

I don’t think that super strong teams will appear in the near future. I really hope so, but now the Polish scene does not look very strong. Maybe there are several players who could fight at the highest level, but in terms of teams there is nothing to talk about. Now I do not even know who could get into the Pro League. I hope this will change in the future: I want us to have more Polish players performing at the highest level, maybe even some kind of team.

I played several Battle Royale games for my own pleasure, but I never thought about a serious level. In my opinion, Battle Royale royally depends on luck. Of course, you need skill as well, but some situations are way too luck-related.

I used to love to ride a bike, now I have no special hobbies.

I do not watch any sport.

I think I played in every role in our team and now I’ve become a full-fledged flex, so I guess you can say so.

I think that the development of the game is going in the right direction. Recently, developers have begun to listen more to players from the professional scene than to amateurs, which is good for everyone.

Big prize money will certainly attract more viewers and players to the game.

The latest updates, in my opinion, are wonderful: they are focused on small changes, but at the same time they balance the game. I think that the ideas of the operators, unfortunately, are repeated.

I think Zofia and Jackal could use some nerfs. In defense, I would like to see Ela with her former recoil. Otherwise, I think everything is in order. And one more thing: bring ACOG Ash back.

I always liked to play Border. Kafe Dostoyevsky is also a great map, but I don’t really like to play it in official matches, as I have to play Castle all the time.

Personally, I could have played better, but overall I am satisfied with the result achieved.

At the moment, the strongest team is likely to be Team Empire. And the match against them, in my opinion, was also the most difficult.

We can definitely fight for the championship, we just need to fix small mistakes and play our game.

In both games against Team Vitality we gave them quite a few rounds. Yes, they played better than us, but for the most part we lost to ourselves.

I expected forZe to go far, but I thought that one of the Pro League teams would win the qualification.

The game against T3H Esports was harder in my thoughts than it actually was. On the other hand, the game against
Team Secret was very difficult. In addition, our score was very close.

The organization was, as always, magnificent, that's why Premiership is a good event.

I very much look forward to that!

Our group was the most difficult: the two teams that left it ended up in the grand final, but this is not the reason why we did not exit the group. We could win both games, but, again, we lost a lot of rounds to ourselves. Now these issues are fixed and we are focused on future games.

Yes, our group was definitely one of the most difficult, and our rivals were very strong.

Now we all rest, on vacation, because there is a break before the second half of the season. After everyone returns, we will focus on hard work and achieving the best results in future matches.

Thank you all for the support we receive. You guys are incredible!
