The International 2019 Group Stage: victory over Ninjas in Pyjamas
The game goes the way of NAVI
In the last match of the second game of the day, the “yellow-blacks” will fight with Ninjas in Pyjamas. The format of the match — best of 2.
The Ninjas had a pretty good season, taking part in three Major Championships. Notably, they got slots for 2 of those via Minors. This allowed Ninjas in Pyjamas to earn enough points to be on the list of teams directly invited to Shanghai.
This is the third time the Swedish organization joins the fray. At the beginning of the season, it signed a contract with a stack under the leadership of the eminent captain — ppd. It was under his leadership that Ninjas in Pyjamas are trying to try to achieve a good result in the tournament. However, the rest of the team is also quite famous: Ace, FATA, 33 and Saksa. Very worthy composition.
This season the teams have already met at tournaments and claimed one victory over each other with a score of 2: 0. The upcoming series will probably determine the team that will break ahead in the face-to-face meetings. We believe that it will be Natus Vincere!

The first game started off not too well for Natus Vincere. Our mid Alchemist, while having decent farm, wasn't quite getting the levels he needed, running at level 5 8 minutes in, still. In part, it was due to NiP moving around the map as a coherent unit, ganking the lanes. The opponent seized the advantage; even if it was not too large, it grew constantly, and we had to play from behind, making space for the cores.
27 minutes in the Radiant went for the Roshan, dropping it very low; MagicaL blinked into the Roshpit with Acid Spray. Even though the last hit was dealt by the Radiant, Aegis was snatched by us. The following teamfight saw NiP lose 4 heroes and the advantage swung our way immediately. The game felt increasingly under our control. With a few more items and levels, we were ready.
The following few minutes were a NAVI show. First, bottom lane fell, then mid. After that, we had to disengage, as Aegis expired and Alchemist got killed. The setback was temporary, however, and did not destabilize us. We went right back and sealed the game with the final fight — 5 heroes dead, and the victory is ours.

The First Blood was spilt in the midlane, as MagicaL and W_Zayac scored a kill on Razor. A few more kills our way ensured some advantage, and Alchemist was able to get some net worth advantage. However, as Tiny and Nyx started roaming the map and getting some kills, the advantage tipped their way. Still, the Radiance came out in a very good time.
The Infest bomb strategy was working out very well for NiP, as they seized the advantage. NAVI chose to play slower, letting the cores get some farm, as they still were missing some key items. Soon, though, NAVI caught up and gained advantage back. Soon, a fight broke out near the Roshpit, and NiP had to use buybacks to scare NAVI away. Those buybacks accomplished nothing though — in another teamfight, NAVI wiped NiP off the map, claiming an uncontested Roshan.
With the Aegis on Queen of Pain, we went for the base yet again — top lane down, more fights, and more kills for NAVI. Our advantage grew, we got more items, and soon, we overwhelmed Ninjas in Pyjamas, claiming another 2:0 victory!
