ESL and Dreamhack announced the launch of their own circuit system for CS:GO

ESL Pro Tour is the name of the upcoming circuit, which will launch in the year 2020. The organizers promise over $5 million to be split in prize pools for that year. Over 20 ESL and Dreamhack tournaments will be combined to have “one narrative that builds towards two grand championships each year”. With this new system, ESL and DreamHack aim to "create a more complete path from zero to hero for aspiring players, a more compelling story to follow for existing CS:GO fans and a more transparent structure for new esports fans."

The competition will be split into two levels: Challengers and Masters. The first one will include smaller tournaments that will give a chance for the aspiring teams and players to compete in Masters-level tournaments with prize pools of over $250,000 or more.

By competing in ESL Pro Tour tournaments, a team will earn points towards a circuit ranking and the best teams will get into the Masters Championship аinals, which will be held at IEM Katowice and ESL One Cologne.

More details will be known after the press release at ESL One New York on September 28, 2019.
