Saves — about the incredible victory over G2 Esports
NAVI.GG.BET won with a 7:5 score!
On the evening of October 7, the legendary match took place in the Pro League. The team NAVI.GG.BET, losing with the score 0 : 5, managed to turn the tide of the fight and won — 7 : 5! And the reigning world champion, the G2 Esports was defeated, which makes the victory even more significant.
We interviewed Szymon “Saves” Kamieniak, a participant of the memorable match. The player shared his thoughts about the meeting, and also noted the upcoming games in the Pro League.
Feels really amazing, before the game I knew we can pull this off because we won against them once already, and even after being down 0-5 the motivation was still there and it felt so good to win 7 rounds straight especially against a team like G2 Esports.
I think we stayed positive even after the poor first half of the game, but after getting 2 or 3 attack rounds we felt the hype and all the comms and coordination was so good that at this point I knew we're gonna win.
We all were so happy that we started screaming, we were super hyped.
Honestly, I wasn't nervous at all, maybe a little worried after losing a couple of rounds that we're gonna get annoyed but that never happened, everybody was focused and wanted to win no matter the score.
Skill-wise Pie is a really good player and game knowledge wise as well, he's vocal and gives a lot of ideas and freshness to the team right now, even tho we had only like a week to practice with him he's already really coordinated with us and brings a lot to the team.
We will grind every single day and get as much info as we possibly can to win these two matches, everybody wants to go to LAN finals and we have a really high chance for that. It would be amazing to go to Pro League finals in our first season.
I hope every fan enjoyed the match and believed in us until the last second of the game just like we did, from our pov it was a super intense game and I hope fans had the same feeling. And also I would like to thank everybody who supports us during the matches and outside of them.
