Changes to the format of the competition

PUBG developers shared plans for the year 2020. So, in the next year, to the competitive stage will be added international matches of PUBG Global Series.

In the announcement, PUBG Corp. spoke about the format of the championships. Thus, the PUBG Global Series will feature four major events that will be held in April, July, October, and November. All the tournaments will be held in four different cities, and the first championship of the series is already known to be held in Berlin, the capital of Germany. The final event of the year will be the PUBG Global Championship 2020.

The teams that took the first four places at the will be given direct invitations to the first PGS in Berlin. The rest of the teams will have to go through the open qualifiers, which will begin in February. It is also worth noting that now, 32 squads will be taking part in each tournament series.

The championship prize pool will grow due to the crowdfunding system: the developers promise to introduce new in-game items for each PGS event. The "Pick 'Em" function will also return.
