NAVI — ICE London Challenge 2020 runner-up
The Born to Win earns $50,000
The first championship of our team in 2020 — ICE London Challenge — has come to an end, and Natus Vincere is completing his performance in an honorable second place.
The tough way to the grand finals began for the yellow-blacks in the group stage of the competition. In the first round, we witnessed a fierce battle with GODSENT. The fight began for
NAVI with a confident victory on the opponent's map of choice (Nuke - 16: 7). After that, the game moved to the
Natus Vincere 's map (Dust2), where the Europeans performed better in the key rounds and achieved a well-deserved victory with a score of 16 : 12. The game on the decisive map was held, in terms of "give and take". Here our guys were stronger, which allowed them to win 16 : 13.
Next, our five had a match with OG. At stake was the first place in the group and advancing into the semi-finals of the tournament. Noteworthy, our guys beat the
OG without much trouble (2 : 0). Thus, the Born to Win guaranteed a place in the top 4.
In anticipation of the next opponent, NAVI had an extra day to rest, and therefore had more time to prepare. Meanwhile, the players of
Virtus.pro were not able to oppose
GODSENT, and in the semi-final
NAVI awaited another fight with this team. This time our team required two maps to beat the opponent (Overpass - 16 : 7; Train - 16 : 13).
And finally the finish line! The decisive battle between Natus Vincere and
mousesports. With time, the European team found its playstyle and finished 2019 extremely well, winning three consecutive tournaments, and established itself in the top three strongest teams of the HLTV rating.
In the final NAVI showed a well-coordinated team game, but they failed to handle the last rival. We congratulate the guys with a good performance and wish them good luck in the upcoming tournaments. We especially thank the fans who supported our team throughout the tournament and gave strength to fight to the last! #navination
