Crystallize - on #helpflow tournament
Only EternalEnvy can match me!
Vladimir "Crystallize" Krystanek, core player of NAVI.GG.BET, gave a small interview on the eve of #helpflow - a charity tournament, where he would play. He talked about his experience playing 1v1, as well as hero choice plans for the coming games.
— You've never played DotA Allstars, and are quite famous on the pro scene as an excellent carry. Tell us, have you played as a midlaner? Do you feel confident playing it in pubs?
— I've never played mid, I don't really like the lane, but there are a couple heroes I am comfortable with there.
— Have you played 1x1 before? Did you get far into the bracket? What can you tell about the players at #helpflow?
— Never played 1x1. The tournament has all the top mid CIS players, and it's unfortunate that I am the only one who has never played mid.
— According to the rules, you can pick any hero. What heroes are you going to pick: a carry like Faceless Void, Lycan, Phantom Lancer, or someone who is a more traditional midlaner?
— You need to pick a hero that can kill the opponent because watching a 1x1 when the heroes can't even kill each other, is boring. Most probably, I am going to stick to Pudge.
— The decider games will be with Shadow Fiend only. According to Dotabuff, last time you played him was 8 months ago. Are you ready to surprise the viewers? Probably took a couple of classes from Dendi
— We've played SF quite a lot, I watched the replays and somewhat understand what to do. Truth be told, I do not know all the tricks.
— The first round will see you fight against fn, while the next one may be No[o]ne. Could you say you got really unlucky with the draw, or vice-versa - their journey will stop a bit too early?
— I did get unlucky indeed, but I will try and surprise everyone!
— If the players were competing in how many anime titles they watched, do you think you'd be the champion? Are there other contenders among the participants?
— Easy win for me, only EternaLEnVy can possibly match me.
