Interview with Crystallize
Gameinside.ua interviewed Vladislav "Crystallize" Krystanek, he talked about the process of forming the new
Natus Vincere roster, as well as who will be captain of the team.

When we decided to change the lineup, we had to throw in some names: people who we know, who we'd like to play with, who we were following, maybe who stood out. So, we suggested who we knew.
We had a lot of time, and we could try out quite a few people. With some, we got along, with others we didn't. We were just playing "scrims" and looking at some of the points we were looking for at the time.

We needed someone with leadership skills who would be involved in the draft. So he could sit down with Mag, prepare for games and drafts. And in terms of gameplay, it had to be a strong player.

Yeah. We've been looking at some options and decided on Nikita ( young G).

He'll be more of a leader. He's committed and willing to do it. And mid-laner should be a skilled one in the first place. He shouldn't be responsible for the macro. He must play well in the lane, well aware of certain moments, and what is necessary for victory.
So we decided to try out Nikita because there are not many mid players left in the CIS, who are both new and with some kind of credibility.

It affects my game. I tried to do it once, although I didn't have much time, but it affected my game in the first place. I can't be captain. I don't have that character.

I guess the fact that I find common ground with almost all people. I can get along with everyone. I always stay in good relationships with people even after changes in teams. Maybe it's because I'm don't have an EGO! (Laughs) I make concessions at different points. With me, it's easy to find a compromise in some situations.
What else... Maybe it's that I can play in two styles. I can play both space-making heroes and hard carry. I can change styles. And there are players who play in one style. Like Cooman. Everybody knows he likes to farm. He plays the same style. It's easy to adjust to. I can do it both ways. And the third one... I have no idea. Maybe two is enough?

Yeah. When SoNNeikO left and
9pasha joined, I started working hard on it. With Akbar, I was just a carry. That's all I needed to be. Akbar was speaking for everyone. When
9pasha and
Cema came, someone had to take up his work. That's what I started working on.
I can lead the game. But I can't tell everyone what to do. I can see from my position: I am strong now — follow me; I am weak now — I need time, give me some space. But I can't say, "The three of you go in there, I'll be farming for now, Midlaner you just push out lanes, etc."

Not enough so far. It's not clear when they will tweak the heroes again. It's just been a day. Trying to find new tricks, but can't say that something new comes to mind. There are somethings that does not work anymore, but so far it is difficult to come up with something new. I don't even want to try to invent something new, because the heroes will come out, and it won't work in Captain's Mode anymore.
So far, the changes are nice. Necronomicon was imbalanced, they changed that. Lycan is losing momentum because they don't deal damage properly to the creeps.

I guess it' s not exactly harder. Everyone sits in their comfort zone. You're more lazy. You let yourself more relaxed. And it's harder to talk about some things, because you can't see everyone's reaction. You can't see the face, you can't see the reaction.

The first one probably is iLTW. I'm friends with him and I know what kind of person he is. He's a flexible player, a great dude.
Daxak. He plays very well. He's got a great pool of heroes. The way he plays in the pubs, it's a little weird for me. He goes hard every game, tells everyone what to do. And you can see how he's making progress. He used to torment everyone and stay quiet. Now you can see how he's changing. And the third...
V-Tune.
