OMEGA League - a new league by WePlay! Esports and Epic Esports Events
Natus Vincere will take part in OMEGA League, which will be held online from August 1 to September 6. The total prize pool of the competition will be $550,000.
The league is organized by WePlay! Esports and Epic Esports Events. There will be 2 regions - Europe (includes CIS) and Americas (North America and South America).
The European League is divided into two divisions: Immortal ($500,000) and Divine ($50,000). The former will have 12 teams, the latter - 17.
The Immortal division will have 2 stages: group and playoffs. First, the participants will be divided into two groups of six teams. This will be a round-robin, all matches are bo3.
In the playoffs, eight teams will compete for the main prize, with the two best teams from each group starting the run from the upper bracket. All playoff matches leading up to the grand finals will be Bo3, and the grand finals itself is a Bo5 series.

"The suspension of the DPC has thrown our competitive scene into a sort of twilight zone populated by an array of small tournaments making it very taxing on players, and hard for fans to engage emotionally.

Esports, both willing to commit to the higher level of integration that's required to reach the quality fans have come to expect from Major-level tournaments. OMEGA LEAGUE is our first large-scale initiative towards a more sustainable DotA 2 scene. Together we hope to breathe new life into the highest tiers of DotA 2 competition, and we can't wait to show the world what we've been building.
