New season of DPC tournaments should start in early 2021

New information about the DPC

Valve has released a blog post where they spoke about the new season of Dota Pro Circuit. The first tournament should be expected in early 2021.

The developers hope that by that time there will be fewer issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic, and that there will be opportunities to host LAN championships.

Valve also noted that in the new season there will be at least four tournaments from third-party organizers in CIS/Europe, and three championships in China. More competitions are still in the planning stage.

As for The International, it's likely to be held in August 2021. Valve wishes to hold the tournament in Stockholm, Sweden but they are still keeping other countries as a backup. The current prize fund of the championship has exceeded $ 35 000 000.
