IEM Global Challenge will be played online

Awaiting NAVI at the championship

ESL announced that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the IEM Season XV: Global Challenge championship will be held online. Previously, the organizers had planned to hold the competition in LAN format in Cologne, Germany.

The final tournament of the year will be attended by 8 teams, including Heroic — winner of DreamHack Fall: Europe and FURIA Esports — champions of IEM New York North America. The other six slots will be awarded to IEM Beijing winners in the European and American divisions, the two best teams in the ESL World Ranking Europe, and the best teams from the CIS and North America. 

IEM Season XV: Global Challenge will be played from December 15^th to 20^th. The prize fund of the tournament is $ 500 000.
