Valve shares their plans on new season and new hero

Valve in their official blog shared details about the start of the new Dota Pro Circuit season and told about plans to release the next hero in Dota 2.

Thus, the Dota Pro Circuit 2021 season will kick off on January 18, 2021. As announced earlier, it will represent six regional leagues, each of which is divided into two divisions. The best league teams will receive slots in Majors. Further details the developers promise to tell in the near future.

Valve also confirmed the start date of the new Dota Plus season, it will launch on December 1st. The season quests will be restarted, a new chest will be added, and much more. The developers also announced that they started to work on the Overwatch system, which will help in the future to monitor suspicious matches and find cheaters.

As for the new hero and gameplay update, the developers originally planned to release them on November 30th. But now the release date of the hero, as well as the patch 7.28 has been moved to mid-December.
