Meet Nesh
Everything you need to know about our newcomer's career in this article
Today we get to meet the new Natus Vincere Apex Legends player
Herman "Nesh" Kobrin. Recall that
Nesh played for our team as a stand-in and just at the start of this year became its full-fledged member.
Herman started his esports career in 2016, but not everyone will be able to guess his first discipline at once. Herman's first success came in Team Fortress 2, a game that many people love. At that time together with Serpents, he took first place in DreamHack Summer 2016 qualification.
In the same year Blizzard's new game — Overwatch was released, which was very similar to Valve's shooter game. Nesh didn't let such an event pass him by and began to play actively with a clear desire to soon conquer the professional Overwatch scene.

So far I'm happy with my career choices. I highly doubt I could keep up my motivation to stay in the Overwatch Competitive Scene for another year and try my best to get into the OWL - especially with the way Overwatch has dealt with the non-changing metas which brought a lot of frustration with it but also the way tier 2 scene was handled with barely any offline tournaments for example. I just didn't like it and it didn't get better for a long time, so I asked myself the question "why waste your time with something you don't enjoy?" and here I am.
From 2016 to 2017, Herman managed to play for several teams, including ANOX,
Slav Squad,
Laser Kittenz and
Hammers Esports, and won several small championships. However,
Nesh had the most success with the German national team during qualification. He with his team was not able to defeat the U.S. representatives while fighting for a place in the main part of the championship, however, he showed a memorable performance.
For Herman, 2018 was full of Overwatch Contenders matches. The player played for Bazooka Puppiez and
6nakes, but did not stay with the latter for long.
Nesh tried his luck with
British Hurricane, the academy team of the
London Spitfire Overwatch League.
Alas, Herman did not achieve much success with this team. In February 2019, Nesh announced that he was looking for a new team for the upcoming Overwatch Contenders season, but a month later he announced his departure from the discipline. He made such a decision, in part, because a new player in the field of the Battle Royale games — Apex Legends. This is where Herman wanted to devote all his efforts.

The moment I was released from the British Hurricane, all of my friends were playing and hyping Apex Legends. I met an old Overwatch friend Wacko in-game, who was building a competitive Team with Oraxe for potential future tournaments and I asked him if I could try out for them as a third and it worked out better than expected. They have taught me a lot about the BR strategies and I enjoyed it a lot especially since FPS was a big factor in the game where you were able to decide a lot of fights and outcomings based on your mechanical skill. But also the RNG factor had me worried but they managed to show/prove to me that it's possible to work more or less around it and be consistent in getting high placements on tournaments. So based on that learning experience and shooting factor I started getting better and enjoyed it more and more until I decided to stay and try my luck.
His first team became PENTA, where he played for seven months. The team's highest result was eighth place at the Apex Legends Preseason Invitational. A fine achievement, considering there were 80 teams in the tournament.
At the end of 2020, Nesh joined Natus Vincere, but he was not a full-fledged member of the team. Despite the lack of serious results due to the reshuffle of the team and the change of roles, Herman proved to be an excellent teammate, so the club decided to invite the player to play under our banner.

Our main objectives right now are to find a good fit in the current meta. Playstyle and composition-wise — it's very new to all of us but we are making really good progress recently and we are motivated for more. Since this is somewhat of a new team, we are still getting used to each other's comms and strengths which will come with time but we are working hard on all aspects and so far it's going pretty well.
In 2021, Nesh, along with his teammates
Kouhia and
MaxStrafe, will try to show their best in all championships where they will take part. Be sure to support the team in the upcoming tournaments! #navination
