Oleksandr Zinchenko - about his love for Counter-Strike

After an excellent match for Manchester City in the match against Tottenham, Oleksandr Zinchenko was added to the symbolic team of the 24th round of the EPL. But let's leave football discussions to sports publishers and talk about Zinchenko's passion for Counter-Strike.

How well are the footballers familiar with esports? Do you follow any championships yourself?

I think that esports is already extremely popular today and will become more popular year by year, so we are aware of what it is!

To be honest, I do not have time to follow esports in particular. But I am glad to know some guys from NAVI, so I support and cheer for them in various tournaments!

Tell us, how did you get acquainted with Counter-Strike? Do you play anything else?
Oleksandr Zinchenko

CS 1.6 was my first game on the PC. Even as a kid I liked to come to my brother's house and play the game, since I didn't have a computer. I mostly play Counter-Strike, but I can also beat someone at FIFA. But I've never tried to play Dota 2.

What is your rank? How many hours do you have logged on to your account?
Oleksandr Zinchenko
Manchester City FC player

My maximum was level 7 on Faceit, but my potential is level 10. I'm pretty confident, I just need to sharpen my shooting a bit, but I didn't set that as a goal because it's just a recreational game. In general, I have more than 1000 games on Faceit.

How do you manage to find time to play in a footballer's busy schedule? Has your passion for esports ever interfered with your training?
Oleksandr Zinchenko
Manchester City FC player

For me, it's a leisure activity. I believe that every athlete, and in particular a football player, should be able to distract himself psychologically for a while. For me, computer games are just that kind of relaxation.

Never in my life have games interfered with my work. I would rather close my laptop in the middle of a game and go about my business.

Recall that on January 28, Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev and ru Ilya "Perfecto" Zalutsky played with the Ukrainian national team players Oleksandr Zinchenko, Oleksandr Zubkov and Maksym Malyshev. #navination
