ALREIN - about PSL Season 9 and PCS4

ua Vadim "ALREIN" Levin, NAVI PUBG coach, commented on the team's results at and talked about preparing for .

What was the key factor in your unfortunate performance in the PSL finals? Was it bad zones, someone getting in the way on the starting spots, or you just couldn't get a feel for the game?

The difficulties we encountered were not due to luck. Out of 18 games, there were no more than four really difficult rounds. Every lobby demands adaptation and getting used to because from tournament to tournament (even when playing with the same teams) the playstyle of the opponents' changes. It was the adaptability factor that was the main challenge.

Share your opinion on the format of the tournament. There were six stages of qualifiers, isn't that too much?

In my opinion, the large number of rounds only allows us to maintain tournament form. So for us, it is a definite plus. The tournament game, even in the early rounds, is always more concentrated and interesting. And for the spectators, it's an opportunity to see their favorite team in action more often.

What about the prize money? In the end, it is only divided among the first four teams. Maybe it's time for the PSL organizers to reconsider this aspect?

Despite the fact that in PUBG there are 16 teams fighting simultaneously, I am a supporter of the classic approach, where only the first three get the prizes. It forces you to be more result-oriented, the winner will get a well-deserved reward. I would recommend the organizers to think about a prize for the MVP of the tournament. In my opinion, it would add interest for both players and spectators.

What happened after the championship? Did you work out your mistakes or did you give yourself a few hours of rest?
uaVadim «ALREIN» Levin

PCS4 is right around the corner, so we don't have time to rest. We conducted a global review of the tournament we played, which resulted in forming clear and specific actions to fix the key errors. Now and in the future, we just have to work on them on a daily basis.

Who do you think are the strongest teams in Europe and the CIS right now?
uaVadim «ALREIN» Levin
|

The European leaders have not changed. It is still eu Team Liquid, eu Faze Clan and tr Big BossLayf Esports. In CIS I can highlight ru Virtus.pro, ru We Live Again and ru AfterAlt. The other teams are also quite strong, but unstable.

Ahead of PCS4. How do you feel about the fact that the winner of the tournament will be determined by the prize money they earn? Is that a plus or a minus?
uaVadim «ALREIN» Levin
|

Actually, the winner is only nominally determined by the prizes earned. After all, you still have to win games to earn them. :) It's nice that all three weeks have the same distribution of prize money, unlike PGI.S. So far, the PCS4 system looks fair as is.

What's a bare minimum mission at PCS4?
uaVadim «ALREIN» Levin

The podium, top 3.

How are the days going by before you embark on new battles?
uaVadim «ALREIN» Levin
|

Right now, it's important to focus on the teams that made it through qualifying at PCS4. Some of them may be dark horses, so my resources are focused on analyzing their qualifying games.

Can you say a few words to the fans?
