Quake World Championship 2021: tournament recap
CYpheR placed fifth
The Quake World Championship 2021 has come to an end. The strongest Quake players in the professional stage have been decided. NAVI player Alexey "cYpheR" Yanushevskiy also participated in the tournament.
Alexey started in the second round of the upper bracket, as he was in the top four in the regular season of the European Quake Pro League. The first opponent was cnz: an exciting match ended with cYpheR's victory with a score of 2 : 1.

The next day Alexey played only one match and defeated ZenAku - 2 : 0. Next cYpheR had to fight with RAISY for a spot in the final of the upper bracket.
Alas, the opponent was stronger: 1 : 3 — Alexey fell down to the bottom bracket. One of the best Quake players of the world — rapha was awaiting him there The match was a real highlight of the championship, as both players showed their best. Alexey even led in the series, but in the end lost — 2 : 3
