Red Bull Home Ground #2: Group B matches

Can NAVI make it to the playoffs?

Today, our VALORANT roster will begin to play in the Red Bull Home Ground #2 online tournament. Sixteen teams will be competing for approximately $ 63,000 prize pool. The teams will play in groups and the winner will be decided in the playoffs.

What makes this championship interesting is the unusual rules. At the start of every best-of-5 match, the teams have to choose one "home" map, which will be played first. If either team loses both starting games, they will lose the series immediately.

NAVI were seeded in Group B with TENSTAR, Team BDS and Acend. Only the top two teams will advance to the playoffs.

All group matches will be played in one day and best of 1 series. Unfortunately, due to a large number of games played simultaneously, only one game that is against TENSTAR (16:00 CET) will be featured on the official stream. NAVI matches on the first day of Red Bull Home Ground #2

13:00 CET — vs Acend

In the first round, NAVI will face the main favorite of the group. The European team is considered to be one of the best in the world: the guys confidently hold second place in the EMEA ranking and are already guaranteed to play at the VALORANT Champions 2021 in December. 

The last and only time the Born to Win met Acend was in the VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 3 playoffs, where they got defeated 0 : 2. While the first map was relatively easy to score, the second map Icebox proved to be difficult and required overtime to determine the winner. 

 NAVI is perfectly capable of taking rematch. And we trust that they will succeed.

A young team from Great Britain, which should not be underestimated. They have wins over Team BDS, Fnatic and Movistar Riders, but TENSTAR has no major achievements so far. 

This will be the first match between NAVI and TENSTAR: Come and cheer for the Born to Win on the official stream.

19:00 CET — vs Team BDS

Team BDS consists of five French players, including logaN, who used to play professionally in CS:GO for Team LDLC and Team Heretics. The team had a strong showing in the second stage of VCT 2021: Europe Challengers 2, where they took 3rd-4th places, losing to Team Liquid 1 : 2.

This match will also be the first between NAVI and Team BDS. Alas, the match will most likely take place off-stream.
