Updated rules ahead of the DPC 2021-2022
Changes in the rules!
Valve has updated the Dota Pro Circuit 2021-2022 rules ahead of the new season. The most important changes are highlighted below.
This upcoming season, the number of Dota Pro Circuit points awarded will increase with each stage. All regional leagues will have 690 points in the first stage, 920 points on the second, and 1,150 points on the third. Major tournaments, in turn, are valued at 1,900 points, 2,700 and 3,500.
Distribution of Dota Pro Circuit prizes and points
Regional qualifiers for The International will be open to teams that participate in the third round of the Dota Pro Circuit season and have not replaced more than two players since the end of the stage. The open qualification for the third stage of the second division will essentially serve the role of the open qualifiers for The International.
Teams must lock in their rosters before the start of the season on November 21st. They will also be able to remove players from the roster at the end of each stage and until the Tuesday after the Major tournament ends, and add players until Sunday. This is to ensure that teams will not be able to eliminate players at the last minute.
