PUBG Esports Europe 2022: Roadmap

PUBG / News / 28 January 2022 — 14:01

The competitive season begins in February

The PUBG unveils their plans for the upcoming 2022 season. To kick off the competitive season the first of the two G-Loot events will be held in February, followed by PUBG Continental Series 6 Europe in April.

PUBG Nations Cup sees its return in June. The second G-Loot event will be held in Summer, quickly followed by PCS7 in September, and to close out the year the PUBG Global Championship 2022 will launch in November.

To earn a place in the prestigious PGC 2022, teams will have to compete in the premier regional esports events and collect PGC Points. The squads with the most points at the end of the year will have a spot in the PGC, where they will face off against the world's best teams. PGC Points will be up for grab at PCS6, PCS7, and both G-Loot events. Furthermore, the winner of PCS7 will also have a direct passage to the PGC 2022, so even a team that is short on points will have a chance to qualify heading into the final event of the year.

PUBG Continental Series 2022 is back. The teams from Europe, the Americas, Asia, and APAC will be competing for regional dominance and a share of $ 250,000 per event. Europe once again will be played online and everyone can participate via Open Qualifiers. The full format will be revealed closer to PCS6.

The PUBG Esports third-party event calendar remains packed through 2022, and PUBG aims to support tournaments of all sizes across the PUBG Europe ecosystem. In addition to two major competitions awarding PGC Points, third-party events will contribute directly to the PGC Qualification journey by offering Wildcards for PCS6 and PCS7. More details of Wildcard availability will be shared in the upcoming third-party announcements.
