Results of the year: NAVI in mobile games

Brawl Stars / News / 29 December 2022 — 12:00

We continue to summarize 2022 for the NAVI esports club. Today, let's take a look back at the teams' performance over the past 12 months in two mobile disciplines — Brawl Stars and PUBG Mobile.

Brawl Stars

The NAVI team started the year as a World Championship runner-up. Everyone expected the guys not only to repeat but also to improve the result.

However, a war broke out in the team's fate, which resulted in the cancellation of regional competitions. In addition, Artem «Jason» Yashanin left the team, and Yaroslav «Angelboy» Labunets took the vacant position.

The first half of the year went without any significant victories. Only by August did the team regain its form, winning a number of small tournaments, including Rush Stars Season 3: Tier 1.

Things got even better at the beginning of the fall: NAVI won silver in Brawl Stars Championship 2022: September and BSC 2022: October EMEA Finals. This allowed our team to win a slot in the World Championships.

Unfortunately, Brawl Stars World Finals 2022 didn't bring any luck to the NAVI players. Their first game against Tribe Gaming from North America ended in a 0:3 defeat. The last place in the standings was not what our players hoped for.

Petro «MMA» Pomortsev, NAVI Brawl Stars player:

«We still text with Alekzz and try to keep in touch. Yes, not as often as before, but I am still happy to talk to him even though we are no longer teammates. Who knows where life will bring us?

There are no plans about the roster –– about the fourth player or coach. Each player now has a task we have to solve together. There are pros and cons to playing three or four, but generally speaking, three players always have their own area of responsibility and pool of characters. In the case of a four-player game, there are disagreements about who should play on a particular map and which characters.

Next year we will do our best. I promise, no matter how difficult the games are, we will try to make them hard victories –– let it be so. Let the match be difficult, but most importantly –– victorious. We will strive for this and try to show our best game".

The NAVI team enters the year 2023 with changes: Alexey «Alekzz» Andryushin left the team. We believe the guys still have a lot of tournaments in which they will show their best game!
