Roman Imperium Cup IX: NAVI Junior vs FaZe Clan

NAVI Junior continue their successful run at the Roman Imperium Cup IX LAN tournament in Portugal.

The Born to Win academy roster previously advanced from Group B with four wins in five matches. Over the past two days, they have also defeated WhiteBIT (ranked 61st in Valve's rankings), whose roster features DemQQ, and G2 Ares. As a result, NAVI Junior have already secured a top-three finish and at least € 2,000 in prize money. They have also significantly improved their VRS ranking, climbing from 116th to 59th place.

However, today NAVI Junior face their first major test against a tier-one team: at 12:00 CEST, the academy roster will take on FaZe Clan in a Best of 3 series.

FaZe Clan received a direct invitation to the tournament playoffs. In their opening match, they had to work hard to defeat Sangal (2 : 1), before cruising past PURE (2 : 0) in the semifinals. FaZe Clan currently sit 14th in the HLTV.org rankings and 24th in Valve's rankings.

Can NAVI Junior defeat FaZe Clan and pull off a major upset at Roman Imperium Cup IX? We'll find out very soon!
