BLAST SLAM VIII: groups revealed

The organizers of BLAST SLAM VIII have announced the groups for the upcoming tournament. NAVI have been placed in the same group as 1w, Nemesis, and Spirit.

The group stage will use a GSL format with Best of 3 matches. The best teams from the groups will advance to the seeding matches, the teams finishing in second place will move on to the Last Chance stage, while all other participants will be eliminated from the competition.

Our team's first match is scheduled for September 29 at 15:00. Their opponent will be 1w, whom NAVI faced recently in the group stage of PGL Wallachia Season 9. Born to Win came out on top in that match — 2 : 1.

As for Nemesis, the team was defeated in the playoffs of the aforementioned tournament. That series also ended 2 : 1.

Spirit are the reigning The International champions, although they enter the new season with a few changes to their lineup: Batyuk and Illidan have taken the places of Collapse and coach Miposhka, respectively.

BLAST SLAM VIII will take place from September 29 to October 11 in both online and offline formats. The 16 participating teams will compete for a $750,000 prize pool.
