Big update 7.38 is already in Dota 2!
The long awaited patch 7.38 has been released for Dota 2. The patch brings a number of changes to the gameplay. In addition, a number of hero traits and in-game artefacts have been reworked.
Perhaps the most important change is the increase of waterways on the map. Moving through water along the current will increase your character's speed in the direction of the safe line, but will not slow you down if you move against the flow.
Alongside waterway changes, there is a new type of neutral creep. It evolves and becomes stronger as the game progresses.
Wisdom runes have been replaced by Shrines of Wisdow. Now you have to stay near them for some time to gain experience. However, the effect will not be activated if there are enemies nearby. The Lotus Pool has also been changed to work in a similar manner.
The two Roshan pits have been moved to the river, closer to the Power runes. At the start of the game, Roshan will appear in the southern cave, and at daylight he will move to another cave, tossing around any unit in his path.
Likewise, the Tormentors were relocated and will spawn in the corners of the map. They will appear in them depending on the time of day, and will heal units around them after death.
The developers have also added a new resource that players can use to craft neutral items. For a full explanation of how this works, a list of changes to Neutral Items, and all other hero and item changes, please visit the patch page.
