IEM Katowice 2023: Results

Born to Win finished its performance in Poland in Spodek Arena. The team took 3-4th place, losing to Heroic in the semifinals (0 : 2).

The team started its journey with a match against Cloud9. In spite of all the fears, the renewed opponent's line-up didn't have as much chemistry as it seemed at first sight, thus the game was under NAVI's control (16 : 13 Ancient, 16 : 6 Inferno).

In the playoff match we faced Liquid. At the beginning of the tournament, the American team wasn't yet in great shape. Therefore, our team confidently took out Inferno (16 : 5), and won its second win in a row on Anubis (19 : 17).

In the third match of Group A our boys were less fortunate, as they had to play against G2, who are on their peak. The European squad outplayed our team for the third time in a row on Inferno and Nuke (0 : 2), sending Born to Win to the quarterfinals.

In the playoffs, NAVI got into another part of the bracket and faced Outsiders, who took the last slot of Group B in this stage. The debut of Andrii "npl" Kucharskyi turned out perfectly, our team finished the match easily in its favor (16 : 13 Overpass, 16 : 12 Inferno).

The match against Heroic for access to the finals didn't go according to plan. The Danish club gained good shape during the last season and today was stronger (8 : 16 Inferno, 8 : 16 Mirage).

Nevertheless, our team took 3-4th place and earned $ 80 000. It is a positive result and shows the potential of our fresh roster.
