Star coach joins NAVI Dota 2

Dota 2 / News / 26 September 2025 — 13:00

Today, we are excited to announce that NAVI esports club is strengthening its Dota 2 roster with a star coach.

We welcome 29-year-old Aske «Cy-» Larsen, a professional coach whose achievements speak for themselves. Having worked with Gaming Gladiators since 2023, he led the team to become one of the strongest in the world. For over a year, they dominated the Tier 1 scene, winning three consecutive Majors — Lima Major, ESL One Berlin, and Bali Major, twice becoming DreamLeague champions (Seasons 19 and 20), and reaching The International Grand Final. In 2024, Gaimin Gladiators won the prestigious Riyadh Masters and once again placed second at The International.

Amiran «Ami» Rekhviashvili — NAVI Head of Esports:

«Delighted to welcome Aske to Natus Vincere. Signing one of the world's best coaches is a major step for our Dota 2 branch. I believe Aske is the final piece we've been missing.

His experience and knowledge will help our young team raise their level and continue to excel with new achievements».

Aske «Cy-» Larsen — NAVI Dota 2 coach:

«Figuring out what to do after our unusual departure from the previous International and team has been difficult. Options and teams have been considered, but ultimately, working with the strong and upcoming talent in the NAVI team is very interesting for me.

I hope my experience (and age) can help them grow as players and show results».

We are pleased to have Aske join NAVI and are confident that his experience and in-depth understanding of the game will help our team reach new heights.

Our players have already cleared their first hurdle under Cy-'s leadership, qualifying for DreamLeague Season 27. Today, watch them try to enter BLAST Slam IV to contest a $1,000,000 prize pool.
