NAVI joins Esports World Cup Foundation Club Support Program

NAVI / News / 6 May 2024 — 18:00

The Esports World Cup Foundation has released a list of 30 esports organisations from around the world that have joined its official Club Support Program. We are pleased to announce that NAVI has made the list as well.

The EWCF's goal is to create a sustainable infrastructure for multi-gaming clubs and expand their ability to invest in new disciplines to the benefit of professional players and fans across the globe.

The program participants will be able to receive additional funding to compete in new disciplines at the highest level.

Additional funding has already allowed clubs to:

• Re-enter esports titles in which they have established histories and enter new gaming genres with strong grassroots resonance

• Expand into international markets by signing players and rosters outside their home region, strengthening global esports infrastructure

• Create novel content to engage fans with compelling player narratives and hire the staff needed to support those efforts

8 of the 30 partners were selected from more than 150 candidates during an open review of applications in February 2024. The candidacies were assessed based on three main criteria: the club's esports history, competitive strategy and goals, and creative approach to content and fan engagement.

The final list included 30 organisations representing the five main esports regions - Europe, Asia, North America, South America and the Middle East, making the EWCF Club Support Program truly global.

It is worth noting that the Club Support Program does not guarantee a spot at the Esports World Cup; teams must qualify on their own merits for each title. However, all partner clubs will have the opportunity to receive an annual financial reward based on their ability to grow audiences and attract fans to the EWC.
