In 2018, the club's founder, Oleksandr Kokhanovskyi, decided to sell NAVI, realizing that the company needed significant investments to reach the next level. That led to Maksym Krippa becoming the majority owner of NAVI in Q4 2018. Maksym is a Ukrainian businessman and venture capital investor with IT, game development, and real estate assets.

The deal took effect over a period of time and included the new owner fulfilling certain obligations. Maksym executed those commitments beyond expectations. Thanks to the last four years of investments, NAVI has strengthened its competitive results and infrastructure. During this time, we have considerably increased our presence across disciplines and opened an academy for junior CS:GO and Dota 2 players in Ukraine. Two of our graduates are already competing at the Tier 1 level. We also had a high-tech office with gaming penthouses built in Kyiv. At the same time, a similar infrastructure will launch in Berlin in Q1 2023. In addition, the club staff has grown four times since the deal was made.

Considering that the takeover was only fully completed in the summer of 2022, Maksym never sought publicity, and we made no public announcements. However, the partners, stakeholders, and leagues that asked for details about the ownership structure were aware of the deal. And, of course, NAVI employees and players know Maksym since he has already been to multiple tournaments with them.

Finally, we would like to refute the information spread by some media outlets that GG.BET owns NAVI. We are not owned by GG.BET. They are our title partner until the end of 2023, when the next tender for the partnership contract is held.
