NAVI advanced to the Champions Stage of the IEM Rio Major

After exhausting five matches, NAVI successfully finished their performance in the Legends Stage on the IEM Rio Major. In the last match, our boys confidently defeated BIG on two maps (16 : 10 Mirage, 16 : 11 Dust 2).

Seeding was difficult for NAVI during this stage: the first opponent of Natus Vincere was Team Vitality, which today is in first place in the HLTV rating. In a tense match, Natus Vincere ended the match in their favor in the third round of overtime (25 : 21 Mirage).

The next test for our team was Cloud9, which ranks 5th on HLTV. Due to the teamwork of the opponent after the Challengers Stage, NAVI failed to take this close match (14: 16 Mirage).

This was not the end of strong competition: in the third round, Natus Vincere faced Liquid, who thanks to a successful performance at the EPL S16, is now in 3rd place in the HLTV rating. Having taken 12 rounds on the defense side on Ancient, we were one step away from victory, but our guys were several rounds short while on the T Side (14: 16).

The opponent in the knockout match was Bad News Eagles. The Kosovars successfully demonstrated themselves by knocking out Faze, however, they failed to become the "favorites’ killer": NAVI came out victorious (16 : 3 Ancient, 16 : 9 Nuke).

In the final match, Natus Vincere faced BIG. The confident play allowed NAVI to finish this match without problems (16 : 5 Dust 2, 16 : 10 Mirage).
