s1mple — ESL Player of the Year 2022

After the first semifinal match against Heroic, ESL announced the best player of 2022. NAVI’s player Oleksandr «s1mple» Kostyliev became the winner.

Last year, s1mple played in 13 tournaments with an average rating of 1.25. Together with Oleksandr, Born to Win took the first place at BLAST Spring Final 2022, and became runners-up at PGL Major Antwerp and IEM Cologne 2022. In Cologne and Lisbon, the Ukrainian received MVP awards, which made him a record holder with 21 tournament MVP awards.

Last year, s1mple didn't slow down. Before the start of the IEM Rio Major semifinal matches, he was honored as ESL Player of the Decade, and in mid-December, received the Esports PC Player Of The Year award from Esports Awards. Moreover, at the HLTV Award Show 2022, Oleksandr received the Sniper of the Year award and became the best player of the year according to HTLV for the third time!
