S1mple is the world's first three-time HLTV Player of the Year

Having received the award from HLTV, our player became the first in the world to collect three of them. Today Oleksandr left behind Mathieu "ZywOo" Erbo, Marcelo "coldzera" David and Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund.

Oleksandr first conquered this status in 2018. That year, s1mple dominated the scene. He earned 6 MVPs and 4 EVPs for the season. After that, in 2019 and 2020, our player in a very tough fight lost to Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaugh and received only silver. Last year, the result was quite obvious, as due to the dominance of Born to Win in the second half of 2021, s1mple easily took the award for the second time.

Marcelo "coldzera" David dominated the scene in 2016 and 2017 during his time playing for SK Gaming, while Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund earned his awards for NIP in 2013 and 2014 at the beginning of the S:GO era. These players are already in the sunset of their careers and cannot compete with s1mple. Oleksandr's main opponent remains Mathieu "ZywOo" Herbaugh, who continues to show a high level of play and finished second in this year's HLTV top.
