Esports World Cup 2024: TeamFight Tactics tournament details

The TeamFight Tactics tournament will be held on August 8-11 as part of the Esports World Cup 2024 esports festival. 16 participants, including NAVI, will play for a prize pool of $550,000.

In addition to Born to Win, the championship will feature a number of very high-profile tags. For example, members of Fnatic, Team Vitality, T1, Team Falcons, and many others will be competing for the prize pool.

Half of the participating teams were invited based on rankings, while the remaining teams were selected through a closed qualification stage. NAVI players lost in the first qualifying match, and then defeated all their opponents by advancing through the lower bracket.

As for the format of the upcoming tournament, it is divided into two stages. First, all teams will take part in the group stage, divided into four quartets of four teams in each.NAVI players have been placed in the same group with Team Falcons, Toronto Ultra and On sait Pas.

At the end of the groups, half of the participants will be eliminated: the top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs. The main stage of the championship will be held in a single elimination format. Absolutely all matches of the tournament except for the grand final will be held in best of 3 format, and the final match will be held in best of 5 format.

The prize pool will be divided among all participants, with $200,000 going to the winner of the tournament. An additional $50,000 will be awarded to the MVP of the tournament.
