Valve announce CS2
Along with the NAVI - Outsiders match, Valve have officially announced Counter-Strike 2. The project is set to be released in the summer but some details are already known.
Among the main updates are the new textures and physics of the characters, which have long been needed in the previous version, as well as the processing of game locations.
The second big change is the removal of tickrate. Now every action will happen simultaneously with what you see. Servers instantly learn about the start of movement, a shot or a grenade throw. As a result, regardless of the frequency of running, your movement and shooting will always be the same, and grenades will fall where they should every time.
The main gameplay update is a change in the physics of smoke grenades. Now all players see the same smoke (previously it could be displayed differently on different clients), and the smoke grenade fills all the cavities where it is thrown. In addition, from bullets and explosions, smoke has the property to dissipate.
Additional updates can be found on the official CS2 website, where you can take part in beta testing soon. Additional changes to the game include changes to sounds, interface updates, and hit effects.
We are waiting for the new CS and continue to cheer for NAVI! #ObsessedWe
