WardiTV Summer Bash: Spirit advanced to the playoffs
Final Group D matches in the small online tournament WardiTV Summer Bash have now been played. The contest with a $2,600 prize pool also features NAVI's Piotr «Spirit» Walukiewicz.
It is an excellent opportunity for our player to practice his strategies against serious opposition ahead of the massive Esports World Cup 2024 in mid-August.
Based on the draw, Spirit ended up in Group D, where he had to play four best-of-3 series. He opened the tournament with confident victories over Lancer (Mystery Gaming) and Future (Matcherino).
However, the South Korean opponents turned out to be more challenging to beat. Spirit had an extremely close battle against NightMare (Bleed Esports), losing 1 : 2, and in the final duel, he came up short against Creator (Blacklist).
Player | Race | Matches | Maps |
Blacklist Creator #1 | Protoss | 4–0 | 8–2 |
Bleed NightMare #2 | Protoss | 3–1 | 6–5 |
NAVI Spirit #3 | Terran | 2–2 | 6–4 |
Mystery Lancer | Protoss | 1–3 | 4–7 |
Matcherino Future | Terran | 0–4 | 2–8 |
Despite the two defeats, the points earned were enough to advance to the tournament playoffs from the 3rd place in Group D. Congratulations to Spirit on a strong result!
NAVI player's first match in the WardiTV Summer Bash playoffs will take place on July 30. The opponent will be determined after all group stage matches are concluded, so stay tuned for updates.
